Services for James Garland Coldiron, of Union Church, will beheld at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Stringer FamilyFuneral Home Chapel in Hazlehurst.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Coldiron, 82, died Dec. 31, 2007, at his residence at BrookManor Nursing Center in Brookhaven. He was a native of Goodnight,Texas, and had lived in the Union Church area since 1958. He was aretired certified public accountant and formerly worked with theMississippi State Tax Commission, and the Mississippi StateDepartment of Corrections and served on the Peer Committee. He wasa cattle rancher and a member of Brookway Church of Christ inBrookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Marceline VarnadoColdiron; and his grandson, James Ethan Coldiron.

Survivors are his son, Jimmy Coldiron and wife Lori, of UnionChurch; his daughter, Marlene Cupit and husband Malcolm, of UnionChurch; his brother, Bobby Kent Coldiron, of Phoenix, Ariz.; andhis granddaughter, Anna Katherine Coldiron.
