The Rev. John D. Ready

Services for the Rev. John D. Ready, of McComb, are 10 a.m.Saturday, March 13, at First United Pentecostal Church of McComb at1117 Highway 98 East, with burial in the church cemetery. Bro.Terry Ballard and Bro. Jerry Sullivan will officiate.Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church, and onSaturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

The Rev. Ready, 77, died March 10, 2010, at McComb Extended Care.He was born in Monticello on May 19, 1932, to Barney and Irma DavisReady.

He was the retired pastor of Liberty Pentecostal Church, where heserved for 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.Bro. Ready was an avid hunter and fisherman and a very gifted woodcraftsman.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Phelps Ready, ofMcComb; his sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Carolyn Ready, ofBrookhaven, and Curtis and Judy Ready, of Liberty; his brother andsister-in-law, Donald and Laverne Ready, of Brookhaven; hisgrandchildren, Jeff Ready and wife, Nicole, of Brookhaven, NicoleMiller and husband, Jeremy of Frisco, Texas, Cody Ready and LeviReady, of Liberty, and Jacqueline Ready Smith, of Smithdale; hissix great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Cody Ready, Levi Ready, Jeff Ready, Stacey Phelps,Johnny Mote and Jimmy Phelps. Honorary pallbearers are RickyPhelps, David Phelps, Robbie Phelps, Greg Phelps, Jack Jasper andJesse Jasper.

Clara Williams Robinson

Services for Clara Williams Robinson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, March 13, at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robinson, 77, died March 6, 2010, at her residence. She wasborn in Liberty on Sept. 5, 1932, to Matthew Williams and LizzieSpears Williams.

She was retired. She was a graduate of Liberty Rosenwald HighSchool. She was a member of Damascus M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, EllisWilliams and Emory Williams; her father- and mother-in-law, L.C.and Maggie Robinson; her brother-in-law, L.C. Robinson Jr.; and hergrandsons, J.T. and Bryan Robinson.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Robinson Sr., of Brookhaven; hersons, Robert Robinson Jr. and wife, Allee, of Bogue Chitto, andThomas Robinson and wife, Anita, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; herdaughter, Terry Dickey and husband, Bernell, of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Claudis Williams, of Oxon Hill, Md., Matthew Williams andwife, Joyce, and Willie Williams and wife, Elvera, all of NewOrleans, La., George Lee Williams, of Houston, Texas, Mory Williamsand wife, Rita, and Warren Williams and wife, Ouida, all ofLiberty; her sisters, Ann Tanner, Brenda Young and husband,Sylvester, all of Brookhaven, and Diana Johnson and husband,Randolph, of Camden, Del.; her 12 grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Delois Covington Street, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, March 12, at New Sight Baptist Church, with burial in NewSight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Street, 80, died March 10, 2010, at her residence. She wasborn in Natchez on Jan. 13, 1930, to Houston Russell and DonnaCovington.

She lived in Florida for more than 40 years before moving back toMississippi eight years ago. She worked for the State of Florida asa bridge tender. She was a member of New Sight BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 40 years,Brown “Jeff” Street; and a great-granddaughter, Katie AlishaTutton, of Vernon, Fla.

Survivors are her sons, Roy H.
