Services for Ephraim Diggs, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday,Dec. 12, at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burial inHillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home in Brookhaven.

Mr. Diggs, 89, died Dec. 4, 2009, at Countrybrook Living Centerin Brookhaven. He was born in Brookhaven on July 23, 1920, to JesseDiggs and Cora Ephraim.

He was employed for a number of years in custodial services inAlemada County, Calif. Mr. Diggs served in the U.S. Army. He was amember of and deacon at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Earlene MageeDiggs; a son, E.J.; and a host of siblings.

Survivors are his sons, David and Waldo, both of Brookhaven, andWayne Diggs, of Georgia; a daughter, Margaret Thadison, ofBrookhaven; a brother, David Diggs, of Oakland, Calif.; his 12grandchildren; and his 14 great-grandchildren.
