Services for Freddie “Fred” E. Emfinger of Collins are 3:30p.m., Monday, Jan. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until3:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Emfinger, 77, died Jan. 16, 2004, at the Veterans Home inCollins. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 2, 1927, to EphriamEmfinger and Cora Herring Emfinger.

He was a retired truck driver, and a Navy veteran. He was amember of Magnolia Bible Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Andy Emfinger;two sisters, Louise Dousay and Elouise Greenlee; and a brother,R.E. Emfinger.

Survivors are his daughters, Sandra Emfinger of Brookhaven,Susan Emfinger of Florida, and Rebecca Emfinger of Louisiana; hissons, Mike Emfinger of Florida, Timmy Emfinger of Louisiana, andThomas Emfinger, Fred Emfinger Jr., and Matt Emfinger, all ofBrookhaven; his stepchildren, Hank Evans, Tammy Evans, Scott Evans,Randy Evans, Earnie Scarborough and Alton Scarborough; his sisters,Edna Hall of Hattiesburg, and Myrtle Leach of Kokomo, Ind.; severalgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
