Services for Homer Coleman, of Summit, are 11 a.m. Friday, Jan.29, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb. Burial with militaryhonors will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Coleman, 86, died Jan. 25, 2010, at the Mississippi StateVeterans Home in Jackson. He was born on Feb. 6, 1923 in Meadville,to Solomon and Janie Freeman Coleman.

He was a retired farmer and a World War II veteran of the U.S.Army. He was a member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, OliverColeman; and his sisters, Irene Cloy and Mary Whittington.

Survivors are his wife, Gladys Burns Coleman of Summit; hissons, Jack Wayne Coleman of Summit, and Michael Anthony Coleman ofPalestine, Texas; his daughter, Terry Killingsworth of Summit; fivegrandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces andnephews.
