Services for Richard “Rock” May, of Chicago, Ill., formerly ofBogue Chitto, are 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Williams Mortuary withburial in Topisaw-Mars Hill Cemetery in Ruth.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. May, 54, died May 29, 2006, in Chicago. He was born in BogueChitto on April 18, 1952, to Sammie L. May and Lillie ToliverMay.

He was disabled. He was a graduate of Eva Harris HighSchool.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sisters, Doris Charlesten, of New Orleans,La., Bessie Evans and husband Willie, of Brookhaven, Effie Pooleand husband Joe, of Brookhaven, Stella May, of Dallas, Texas,Amanda May, of Brookhaven, Elizabeth May Fortenberry, of Arkansas,and Elise May, of Houston, Texas; his brothers, James Earle May, ofHouston, Derrick May, of Brookhaven, Darrick May, of Hazlehurst,Michael May, of Brookhaven, T.L. May and wife Rosalind, of BatonRouge, La., Harold May, of Louisville, Ky., Anthony May, of McComb,and Ricky Dale May, of Texas; and other relatives.
