Entergy grant helping to finish chamber Web site

Entergy recently presented a grant to help with the completionof the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce’s Website.

Anita Lewis, Community Development manager for Entergy, andKenny Goza, Customer Account manager, presented the grant to theBrookhaven Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Vice- president CliffBrumfield to assist the community’s economic development marketingefforts. The $3,000 check was a grant given for the development ofthe chamber’s Web site to help attract families and businessesinterested in locating to the Brookhaven area.

“We are grateful for the assistance from Entergy to complete ourWeb site,” said Brumfield. “This grant will allow us to bettermarket our community to individuals and businesses who areinterested in the Brookhaven area.”

Entergy usually distributes several grants a year to helpcommunities.

According to Brumfield, the funds will be used to assist withregular Web site updates on housing and businesses in thecommunity. Now that the project is under way, the Web site shouldbe completed within a few weeks.

“We are fortunate to have economic partners that willingly giveback to the citizens of the community they serve,” saidBrumfield.
