Services for Dealus Leo Nettles, of Bogue Chitto, are 1 p.m.Monday, April 16, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, Natchez Avenuelocation, with burial in Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Nettles, 84, died April 13, 2007, at Camelot Nursing Home inFerriday, La. He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 3, 1923, to RichardDuncan Nettles and Vertis Johnston Nettles.

He was retired after serving for over 45 years as manager ofWood Auto Supply Store in Natchez. He was a member of Gum GroveBaptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II where he served inthe Marines.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, MildredSmith Nettles.

Survivors are his daughters, Sheila King, of Ferriday, andShirley Porter, of Columbia; his sister, Esteen Cupit, of Vidalia,La.; his brother, R.E. Nettles, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren,Bryan Porter, Chad Porter and Lucas Porter, all of Columbia, JayKing, of Ferriday, and Megan King, of Scott, La.; and hisgreat-grandson, Layne William King, of Ferriday.
