Services for Ernest Alvin Rhodes, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Monday, Dec. 15, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Rhodes, 87, died Dec. 13, 2008, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born on Oct. 7, 1921, to Luther Rhodes andHallie Bonnie Rhodes.

He was a retired truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran ofWorld War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Margie Rhodes, of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Nan Bridges, of Brookhaven; his brother, Dan Rhodes, ofLafayette, La.; his sister, Edna Winkle, of McCool; and hisgrandchildren, Jason Bridges, of Brookhaven, Jennifer Bridges, ofBaker, La., and Jeffrey Bridges and wife, Circe, of Baton Rouge,La.
