Mrs. Douglas, 74, died Oct. 15, 2000, of heart failure atRiverland Health Care Center in Lutcher, La. She was born inLincoln County on Nov. 29, 1925, to Calvin Dee Nordan and AvisEthel Crawford Nordan.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her granddaughter,Jennifer Douglas; and her brothers, Cecil R. Nordan and J. C.Nordan.

Survivors are her husband, C. C. Douglas Jr. of Convent, La.;her sons, Dale D. Douglas Sr. of Ponchatoula, La., and Steve R.Douglas of Gonzales, La.; her sister, Dot Strahan of Cocoa Beach,Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Mildred M. Hall

Services for Mildred M. Hall of McComb are 3 p.m., Wednesday,Oct. 18, at Smyrna Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at the church. HartmanFuneral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hall, 87, died Oct. 16, 2000, at SMRMC. She was born inClaiborne County on March 8, 1913, to Frank Morris and LeticiaHeadrick Morris.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Smyrna BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Otho C.Hall; her sons, Thomas Ervin Hall, Lawrence Leonard Hall, and JamesEveret Hall; and her grandson, Dale Hall.

Survivors are her sons, Clyde Hall, Billy Hall, John Hall,George Hall, and Harold Ray Hall, all of Hazlehurst; her daughters,Alice Haynes of Renton, Wash., Joyce Quick of McComb, Janice Morganof Hazlehurst, and Kathy Japp of Brenham, Texas; and fivegranddaughters.

Michael Wayne Russell Sr.

Services for Michael Wayne Russell Sr. of Monticello are 10a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Monticello Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Russell, 51, died Oct. 15, 2000, of injuries sustained in anautomobile accident in Lawrence County. He was born on Feb. 8,1949, to Walter Kermit Russell Sr. and Eunice Bird Russell.

He was a self-employed businessman and real estate developer. Hewas a member of Monticello Baptist Church. He was a member of theLawrence County Chamber of Commerce.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his wife, Kathleen Russell of Monticello; hismother, Eunice Bird Russell of Madison; his son, Michael WayneRussell Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; his daughters, Amy Warren,Suzannah Britt and Beth Case, all of Monticello; his brothers,Kermit Russell of Wesson and Keith Russell of Jackson; and hissister, Johnnie Ruth Carlisle of Wesson.

Memorials may be made to the Monticello Baptist Church BuildingFund or Cemetery Fund.

Archie W. Smith Jr.

Services for Archie W. Smith Jr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inNew Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 75, died Oct. 15, 2000, of heart failure atUniversity Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Lincoln Countyon Sept. 7, 1925, to Archie W. Smith and Rena Burt Smith.

He was an automobile repairman. He was a member of New ProspectBaptist Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and onesister.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita Smith of Brookhaven; his son,Lynn Stephan Smith of Brookhaven; his daughter, Dianne Rumfelt ofMartinez, Ga.; his sister, Marie Pedro of Santa Rosa, Calif.; andthree grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
