Funeral services for Seleta Clanton Kennedy, of Bogue Chitto, are at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Lucien Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation was Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kennedy, 82, died May 24, 2013, at her home. She was born in Franklin County on April 16, 1931, to Lee Roy Clanton and Mamie Ezell Clanton

She retired from Movie Star Manufacturing Co. of Bude with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Lucien Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, George S. Kennedy Sr.; son, Glenn Kennedy; granddaughter, Amber Kennedy; and three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are her son, Steve Kennedy, and his wife, Dawn, of McComb; two daughters, Julia Richardson and her husband, Johnny, of Bogue Chitto; and Sarah Rushing and her husband, Decator, of Brookhaven; daughter-in-law, Peggy Kennedy, of Reeves, Louis.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Kennedy is also survived by one sister, Emily Scott, and three brothers, Doug Clanton, Oscar Clanton and Billy Clanton.
