Services for Powers H. “Hallie” Dunaway of McComb are 2 p.m.,Friday, Sept. 12, at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb with burial inPike Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-10 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Dunaway, 90, died Sept. 9, 2003, at his daughter’s home inDiamondhead. He was born on Dec. 20, 1912, to Benjamin PowersDunaway and Hazel McElver Dunaway.

He operated Powers Dunaway Wood Products with his son, and wasowner of Red Barn Furniture Store. He was a a lifelong resident ofMcComb, and a graduate of Southwest Agricultural School. He was amember of North McComb Baptist Church Family, where he was activefor a number of years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, EmilyIrene Bumgardner Dunaway; his second wife, Mary Louise BoytDunaway; his sister, Amy; and his brother, Ben.

Survivors are his daughters, Patricia C. McLaws of Diamondhead,and Amy H. Shepherd of Baton Rouge, La.; his son, Powers I. Dunawayof the Pricedale community; eight grandchildren; and 18great-grandchildren.
