Services for Velma Price Dale of Brookhaven are 10 a.m. Friday,Dec. 31 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MonticelloCity Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dale, 89, died Dec. 29, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Jayess on Oct. 23, 1915, to Luther Boyd andLettie Carney Boyd.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husbands, MaxieM. Price and J.M. Dale.

Survivors are her daughters, Maxine P. Walker and her husband,Earl Lloyd, of Brookhaven, and Ruth P. Moore and her husband, Harl,of Jackson; her sisters, Rubye B. Talbert of Madison, and WillieMae Barnes of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Peggy W. McDowelland her husband, Jessie, of Meadville, and Bubba Walker and hiswife, Debbie, of Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Jessica and BenMcDowell of Meadville.
