Harlan Wilson Morrow, 72, of Brookhaven, died Monday, May 30,2011, at his residence in Brookhaven.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, atPhiladelphia Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in the churchcemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at thefuneral home.

He was born in Newton County on April 14, 1939.

Mr. Morrow was retired from the Army National Guard, a retiredcaptain from the Jackson Fire Department, and a retired truckdriver for Frito Lay.

He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He was also a Masonand a Shriner.

Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his parents, Garland WorthMorrow and Annie Laverne Graham Morrow; his son, Steve Morrow; andhis granddaughter, Stephanie West.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Louise Rich Morrow, of Brookhaven;his daughter, Patricia Friend, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren,Steven Morrow and Melinda Kimble and husband, Steven, ofBrookhaven; his great-grandchildren, Shelby, Heidi, Olivia andChristopher Kimble, of Brookhaven, and Kyra Suggs, of Texas; hisbrothers, Charles Morrow and wife, Dorothy, Kendall Morrow andwife, Charlotte, and Gary Morrow and wife, Linda, all of Conehatta;and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Sandra Rich, ofBrookhaven.
