Funeral services for J.B. Leonard, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in LincolnCounty, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Homeon Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andSaturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mr. Leonard, 86, died Aug. 12, 2010, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Amite County on Sept. 12,1923, to Joseph Herbert Leonard and Elizabeth May Leonard.

He was a carpenter and mechanic. He was a member of Mt. MoriahBaptist Church, where he had served as a deacon since 1981.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, ClarenceLeonard, Colon Leonard and Clifton Leonard; and his sister, MarieWallace.

Survivors are his wife, Ines Ezell Leonard, of Bogue Chitto; hisson, Freddie Leonard, of Bogue Chitto; his daughters, FrancesPrather and Rita Fritz, both of Clinton, and Ruby Kahl, of Purvis;10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
