Stanley Earl Sullivan Sr., 71, of Terry, died on Thursday, Aug.5, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday at Chancellor FuneralHome in Byram. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at AltaWoods United Methodist Church in Jackson with interment in TerryCemetery in Terry.

He was a 1956 graduate of Provine High School and attendedMississippi State University where he was a member of the ATOfraternity. He was owner of Buck Sullivan’s Auto Repair in Jackson,Sullivan Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Brookhaven and H&H Chief Salesin Carthage.

Mr. Sullivan was an active member of Alta Woods United MethodistChurch, a Mason, and a past member of the Rotary Club. His hobbiesincluded fishing in Grand Isle, Louisiana farming, and beingsurrounded by his family and friends. He was affectionately knownas “Big Daddy” to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Lavelle (Buck)Sullivan and Estelle Padgett Sullivan.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jeanette PoseySullivan; his daughters, Stanette Sullivan Miller and husband,Shannon, of Daphne, Ala., Kimberly Sullivan Brady and husband,John, of Tupelo, and Sherrie Sullivan Bohannon and husband, David,of Laurel; his sons, Stanley Sullivan Jr. and wife, Richelle, ofBrandon, Lance Sullivan and wife, Natalie, of Brandon, and LavelleSullivan and wife, Laurie, of Brookhaven; 20 grandchildren, and onegreat-grandchild.
