RIDGELAND — The Wesson Cobras clipped the Loyd Star HornetsThursday night in the first round of the Division 6-4A baseballplayoffs at St. Andrew’s.

Wesson (13-13) meets McLaurin today at 1 p.m. in the winnersbracket. Loyd Star tangles with St. Andrew’s at 4 in the loser’sbracket. At 7, the Wesson-McLaurin loser meets the Loyd Star-St.Andrew’s winner.
