Graveside services for Ernest Gilmore, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, July 2 at Zion Hill Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Friday from 1-7 p.m., with a wake from 6-7 p.m. atWilliams Mortuary.

Mr. Gilmore, 79, died June 27, 2005, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born on Oct. 17, 1925, to Mangold Gilmore Sr. andOlivia Gilmore.

He was retired. He served in the Navy and in World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, JoshGilmore, J.C. Gilmore, Mangold Gilmore Jr. and Jack Gilmore; andhis sisters, Ina Mason and Mattie Gilmore.

Survivors are his son, Tony Gilmore, of Brookhaven; his sisters,Fannie Lee Gilmore, of Natalbany, La., Sadie Mae Myles, of Marrero,La., and Olivia Brown, of Wesson; his brothers, Lee Will Gilmore,of Brookhaven, Shelby Gilmore, of Natalbany, and Major Gilmore, ofMarrero.
