Althea Ruth Beacham Taylor

Services for Althea Ruth Beacham Taylor, of Peachtree City, Ga.,were 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Riemann Family Funeral HomeChapel in Long Beach with burial in Allen Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor died Feb. 18, 2009, at in Peachtree City. She wasborn on Dec. 3, 1929, to Hughie Lester “Doc” Beacham and LillimaeWhitfield Lawton.

A resident of Gulfport for more than 50 years, Mrs. Taylor waspast president, owner and operator of Al’s Pest Control inGulfport. She was a member of Mississippi City United MethodistChurch in Gulfport. She was a longtime sponsor and league player ofAl’s Pest Control at the AMF Bowling Centers in Gulfport. Mrs.Taylor was a loving mother, family member and cherished friend, whowill be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John D.Taylor Sr.; her sisters, Flora Louise Beacham and Dorothy BeachamCatt; her daughter, Pamela Jean Taylor Gill; a grandson, Steven E.’Little Steve’ Taylor Jr.; a niece, Linda Catt Lambert; and anephew, Jewitt R. ‘Ray’ Catt.

Survivors are her children, John D. Joyce Lolene Smith

Services for Joyce Lolene Smith, of Brookhaven, were 3 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 22, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drivewith burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Smith, 57, died Feb. 20, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Brownwood, Texas, on June 19, 1951, to Doyce Elmer Clecklerand Lula Fay Clark Cleckler.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of JesusChrist of Latter Day Saints Red Star Ward in the Loyd Starcommunity.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Charles Wayne Smith, of Brookhaven;her sons, Grady Charles Smith, Tony Wayne Smith and Ryan JasonSmith, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, Ted Cleckler and EddieCleckler, both of Brookhaven; and her 11 grandchildren.
