Services for Lela Beeson Rogers of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Sunday, August 19, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with burialin the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangement.

Mrs. Rogers, 91, died Friday, August 17, 2001, at TrinityNursing Home in San Augustine, Texas. She was born in Brookhaven onSeptember 3, 1910, to Ike and Deda McGuffie Bessonette.

She was a retired seamstress from Stahl Urban. She did homeextension work. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death was her first husband, Leland Beeson; onesister and three brothers.

Survivors are her husband, Baker Rogers of Brookhaven; her sons,Willirie “Bill” Beeson of Hemphill, Texas, and Royce Beeson ofLehigh Acres, Fla.; her sister, Juanita Kretzberg of Monroe, La.;and 10 grandchildren.
