MADISON – The West Lincoln junior high boys placed third in the 2K run in Saturday’s Madison Trail run at Madison Middle School.

The junior Bears were led by Matthew Geis who posted a time of 12:17 in the 2K distance. Jordan Montgomery followed with a time of 12:21. Other West Lincoln leaders were Adam Martinez, 13:07; Baylie Hughes, 13:48, and Keith Burns, 14:38.

In the junior high girls meet, the Lady Bears finished in fifth place in the 2K run. Georganna Allen came in first for West Lincoln with a time of 15:32. Jana Case followed with a time of 15:36.

The other Lady Bears and their times were: Morgan Newman, 16:38; Megan Gerald, 17:09 and Skylar Hall, 17:34.

In varsity action,  Jason Watts paced the Bears, finishing with a time of 18:29. Matthew Allred had a time of 19:43. Matt Gill contributed a time of 21:42 and Michael Quin, 26:03.

In the Lady Bears’ 3,000-meter run, Lillianne Rushing led with a time of 13:25. Carlie Smith helped with a time of 14:48. Britnee Blakeney followed with a time of 16:48 and Emily Goss at 19:24.

Coach Jason Case’s Bears and Lady Bears resume action Saturday. They will host a meet at West Lincoln. Action starts at 8:30 a.m.
