MEADVILLE – Paced by a five-run third inning, the Choctaw Central Lady Warriors eliminated Franklin County from the third round of MHSAA Class 3A Fastpitch Softball State Playoffs.

The Lady Bulldogs end the season 14-9 overall.

Emilee Wallace absorbed the loss for FC, going four innings. Harley McKay struck out four in three innings of relief.

Krislyn Kent and Shelby Smith each had a single for the Lady Bulldogs, who scored their lone run in the bottom of the seventh.

FCHS had problems with Choctaw Central’s pitching the entire series. The Lady Warriors won Game 1 of the series 6-1 in Philadelphia.
