Patsy Elaine Smith Adam

Funeral services for Patsy Elaine Smith Adam, of Gloster, are Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church with burial at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster. Brown Funeral Home in Gloster is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the church near Liberty from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Ms. Adam, 64, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.  She was born in Centreville Nov. 18, 1952, to Robert and Elaine Wilkinson Smith. She was a member of the Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church near Liberty. She was kind, giving, and devoted to her church. She mentored many people including students entering the medical technology field. She was a good mother and grandmother, and made many sacrifices for her children. She was affectionately referred to as Nat by many. She liked  to cook, cross-stitch and was an avid reader. She also loved to research and discuss family history.

Preceding her in death was her father, Robert Harold Smith.

Survivors are her mother, Elaine Smith of Gloster; her children, Michael Adam and wife Tammie, of Starkville, and Robert Adam and wife Elizabeth, of Highland, Illinois; grandchildren, Lily, Jeremiah, Susannah, Ruth, and Joanna; sister, Judy Matte, of Gloster; brother, Bobby Smith, of Gloster; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
