Ole Brook’s senior star running back Treviaunte “Tre” McDaniel is excited to be taking his football skills to the next level as he has signed a football scholarship with the Holmes Community College Bulldogs.

McDaniel (5-9, 200) signed his official scholarship papers last Wednesday afternoon in the Brookhaven High School Library. Joining McDaniel for his joyous moment was his mom Falana McDaniel, brother: Mikell McDaniel and Ole Brook head football and athletic director Tommy Clopton.

In McDaniel’s senior year, Tre was the top rusher for the Panthers with 230 carries for 1,573 yards and scored 21 touchdowns.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play college football,” said McDaniel.

McDaniel mentioned that he wants to pursue a career in engineering. He plans to attend Mississippi State after finishing his two years at Holmes.

“Tre is a great young man and a great representative of Brookhaven,” said Clopton. “I couldn’t be more proud of him and this opportunity.”

“Holmes is getting a great player,” added Clopton. “He will be greatly missed, but we wish him all the best in his future.”
