COLORADO SPRINGS – Copiah-Lincoln sophomore running back Lakedric Lee has been named National Junior College Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week.

Lee rushed 26 times for 113 yards and caught 12 passes for 113 yards in a 31-24 win over East Mississippi. With 23 seconds remaining in regulation, he scored on a 5-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 24-24.

In overtime Lee scored the game winner on a 5-yard touchdown pass. The win by the Wolfpack ended East Mississippi’s 25-game winning streak.

Lee, a graduate of North Pike High School, was previously named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Offensive Player of the Week before receiving the national award. Through three games, Lee has 443 yards of total offense (277 rushing yards) and has scored four touchdowns.
