Multiple people found dead in Lincoln County

Two people were found dead in their home by relatives in Bogue Chitto Monday.

Lincoln County Deputy Medical Examiner Ricky Alford said at 1:56 p.m. family members on a welfare check found Frances Copsy, 71, and Ronald Whittington, 47, dead in their home.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said there were no obvious signs of the cause of death.

“We are covering all our bases and waiting for the autopsy,” he said.

Cause of death is under investigation pending lab results.
