Chamber plans to offer discounts for educators

The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Education Division will continue honoring school teachers, staff and Copiah-Lincoln Community College personnel this year by providing discounts Nov. 18- 23 at participating businesses.

Examples of past discounts include 10 percent, 15 percent or 20 percent off all purchases; $5 to $10 off a purchase of $25 or more; or a free gift with purchase of “x” amount of dollars, according to a chamber press release.

Chamber officials are asking businesses who wish to participate to contact the chamber office no later than today, Tuesday, Nov. 12.

“Whatever you give is up to you and will be appreciated by the teachers,” the chamber said in the press release.

All merchants giving discounts will be recognized to teachers and school personnel. The list will be distributed to each school in the county and city, and the teachers will use that list for identification when they come to participating stores.

Please e-mail pam@brookhavenchamber.com or call 601-833-1411 to participate or for more information.
