Holiday closings slated

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the following offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29:

• Brookhaven, Monticello, Bude/Meadville and Wesson city offices

• Copiah, Franklin, Lawrence and Lincoln county offices

• Mississippi Highway Patrol Driver’s License Examination Office.

The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will close at noon on Wednesday and will also be closed on Thursday and Friday.

The United States Post Office will close at noon Wednesday and will be closed all day Thursday.

Waste Pro will be closed on Thursday and no garbage pickup routes will run that day. Thursday routes for the city of Brookhaven will be made up on Monday, Dec. 2, and Lincoln County’s Thursday routes will be made up on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Brookhaven and Lincoln County schools will be closed Nov. 25-Nov. 29. Students will return to class on Monday, Dec. 2.

The Daily Leader office will be closed on Thursday and the newspaper will not publish a paper that day.
