Adjustments to garbage, recycle runs

Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Waste Pro will be running the following adjustments to its residential garbage and recycle routes this week.

• County routes normally picked up on Monday will be picked up Saturday.

• City recycle normally picked up on Monday will also be picked up Saturday.

• City garbage normally picked up on Monday will be picked on Thursday, which is the usual second day for the Monday/Thursday city routes.

• All other routes will run as usual.

Waste Pro division manager Doug Atkins said although Waste Pro normally does not take off, a late decision was made to observe the holiday not run the routes on Labor Day due to maintenance issues that needed to be addressed.
