Services for Jackie Guy Cothern of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Friday, Aug. 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Cothern, 60, died Aug. 3, 2000, at his residence. He wasborn in McComb on Jan. 20, 1940, to Elton Guy Cothern and Josie DayCothern.

He was a retired facility operator for Chevron USA. He was amember of Union Baptist Church. He was a member of Nola HuntingClub.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Carol Cothern of Brookhaven; his sonsand daughter-in-law, Joey Duane Cothern, and Randall Guy Cothernand Hyok Yo Cothern, all of Brookhaven; his daughter andson-in-law, Sheila Carol Prestridge and Rusty Prestridge ofBrookhaven; his mother-in-law, Jessie Hilton of Brookhaven; hisbrother, Danny Cothern of Jayess; his sister, Sharon Nettles ofJackson; and his grandchildren, Brittany Prestridge and Eric andAmanda Turnage.
