The host West Lincoln girls and boys and the Loyd Star girls andboys were winners Thursday night in the Lincoln County Junior HighBasketball Tournament.

The West Lincoln girls trounced Enterprise 33-19, the WestLincoln boys tapped Enterprise 36-25, the Loyd Star girls clippedBogue Chitto 43-35 and the Loyd Star boys whipped Bogue Chitto43-21.

West Lincoln basketball coach Jason Case announced thatSaturday’s game have been canceled and will be rescheduled foranother day due to death of a West Lincoln basketball playerThursday.

Tonight’s varsity games featuring West Lincoln at Salem havebeen canceled.

Leading the West Lincoln girls with 10 points was AlishaKennedy. Lauren Smith netted nine points.

Ashley Palomarez sparked Enterprise with six points.

The West Lincoln boys got 14 points from Shane Lynch. TylerSmith netted eight points.

Darryn Cash scored nine points for Enterprise.

Powering the Loyd Star girls with 16 points was BrittanyHenderson. Netting 13 points was Shara Johnson and Jordan Brittwith nine points.

Directing the Loyd Star boys with 10 points apiece was JaronCollins and Brooks Case.

Bogue Chitto go 12 points from Daniel Howard.
