Panthers 3-0 over Bulldogs

The Brookhaven Panthers shutout the defending co-district champTerry Bulldogs 3-0 Thursday night in blistery weather at KingField.

The temperature was about 35 degrees and the Brookhaven boyswere out for revenge. Terry and Brookhaven both tied as District6-4A champs last year and the Panthers wanted to set the recordstraight. Junior Justin Windham scored the first goal. Matt McGeheeswept in the second goal and then Alex Nieford swept in the lastgoal late in the game. The goalkeeper for the Panthers was DominickDiPaolo.

“It was the best game I have ever coached,” BHS boys soccercoach Rob McCreary stated. “This is the first time we just came outand played Terry without being intimidated.”

The Panthers record is now 3-3.

The Brookhaven Lady Panthers soccer team was defeated 6-1 by theTerry Lady Bulldogs. The only goal scored by the Lady Panthers wason a penalty kick by Allison DeHuff.
