Services for the Rev. H. O. Haywood of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Monday, March 12, at Concord Baptist Church in Macon with burial inSalem Cemetery.

Visitation today is from 12:30 p.m. until service time at thechurch. Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon is in charge ofarrangements.

The Rev. Haywood, 85, died March 10, 2001, of heart failure atHaven Hall Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 5, 1915 in Stonewall. Hewas a graduate of Clark Memorial College and attended MississippiState University.

He was a retired pastor. He was a member of Concord BaptistChurch. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He had served fouryears in the Navy.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wesley Monroe and SusieBuckalew Haywood; and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Gwendolyn Haywood of Macon; hisdaughter, Joy H. Johnson of Wesson; his son, Harvey Haywood ofMacon; his brother, James Haywood of Aberdeen; and sixgrandchildren.
