Services for Chester Busby of Bush, La., were 11 a.m., Tuesday,May 22, at New Hope Methodist Church with burial in New HopeCemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Busby, 97, died May 20, 2001, of heart failure at ForestManor Nursing Home. He was born in Waynesboro on April 6, 1904, toLeonard Preston Busby and Ida Tyner Busby.

He was a retired bus driver with N.O.P.S.I. He was a member ofMacedonia Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, JuliaCordelia Busby.

Survivors are his son, Wesley Busby of Harahan, La.; hisdaughter, June Blanchard of Bush, La.; his sisters, Susie Lee ofPetal and Polly Smith of Laurel; his grandchildren, Nancy Kremer,Renee Hataway, Lisa Revere, and John Blanchard Jr.; and ninegreat-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
