Services for J. W. Brown of Ruth are 2 p.m., Sunday, June 17, atTopisaw M. B. Church with burial in Topisaw-Mars Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary. Visitation continues Sundayfrom noon until service time at the church.

Mr. Brown, 76, died June 13, 2001, at V. A. Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Lincoln County on April 12, 1925, to TommieBrown and Buna Jane Brown.

He was retired. He was a member of Topisaw M. B. Church. He wasa Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, M. L.Brown.

Survivors are his daughter, Shelia Brown George of LaPlace, La.;his brother, T. V. Brown of Johnson Creek, Wis.; his sisters,Darkes Anderson and Mary Lee Brown, both of Louisville, Ky., BobbieNell McGowan and Charlene Grant, both of Ruth, and Cubie Lee Brownof New Orleans; and five grandchildren.
