Services for Jessie Thames Keene Nettles of Hammond, La., are 10a.m., Tuesday, June 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nettles, 93, died June 18, 2001, at Hammond Nursing Home.She was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 26, 1907, to Walter SiemonThames and Dottie Ward Thames.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Andy LeeKeene and J. H. Nettles; her son, Frank Gerald Keene; hergreat-granddaughter, Brandi Gasperecz; and five sisters and twobrothers,

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and KennethEady of Hammond; her brothers, W. Ray Thames of Brookhaven and WardThames of Jayess; her sisters, Betty Jones of Nashville, PaulineCain and Gussie Norton, both of Brookhaven, and Dottie Hill ofMonticello; her grandchildren, Debbie Parkman of Brookhaven, EloiseEady of Atlanta, Brenda Carol Medling of Memphis, Frances GeraldineRohrer of Folsom, La., and Tina Russell of Baton Rouge; hergreat-grandchildren, Mark and Kelly Thompson of Memphis, SheltonMorgan Jr. and Emily Morgan, both of Brookhaven, and Adam and JeanPaul Rohrer of Folsom; her great-great-grandchildren, Kylee Morganand Justin Hunter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
