Services for Ernest “Sonny” Thompson of Chicago, and formerly ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at Siloam M. B.Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 8 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Thompson, 51, died Aug. 9, 2001, in Chicago. He was born inLincoln County on Oct. 21, 1950, to Anthony Thompson and AnnaThompson Alexander. He was a graduate of Eva Harris School.

He was a member of Siloam M. B. Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his wife, Davette Thompson of Chicago; his mother,Anna Alexander of Chicago; his daughters, Bonita, LaTasha, Lisa,and Raven; his sons, Nicholas, Deron, Aaron, and Bryan; and threegrandchildren.
