BOGUE CHITTO – Jessica Melton slugged an inside-the-park homerand the Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats blasted Dexter 10-0 Monday in aDivision 7-1A slowpitch softball contest. Melton also singled asthe Lady ‘Cats finished with 10 hits in the 5-inning game.

Kia Porter was the winning pitcher, allowing just 1 hit. CandyLeCrone absorbed the loss.

Bogue Chitto (9-0, 6-0) got a single and double from Randi Moak.Amanda Wallace singled twice. Also hitting safely were MarquitaRatcliff, Tracy Wallace, Amanda Wallace, Stanci Long, Karen Wallaceand Porter as the Lady ‘Cats romped to a 5-0, third-inninglead.

A single by Misty Jenkins led Dexter.

Bogue Chitto, coached by Adriane Albritton, plays North Piketonight at Summit, starting the junior varsity game at 6 and thevarsity at 7. The Lady ‘Cats host Brookhaven Thursday night at 6and 7.
