Services for John L. Campbell of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m.until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Campbell, 85, died Oct. 6, 2001, of cancer at his residence.He was born in Amite County on Sept. 9, 1916, to Jesse Campbell andClara Causey Campbell.
He was a retired Mississippi Highway Patrolman with 24 yearsservice. He was a member of Brookway Baptist Church. He was an Armyveteran of WWII. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a former cityelection commissioner.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Kathleen H.Campbell; his brothers, Hubert, William, Ross and Robert LeeCampbell; and his sisters, Mary Brumfield and Reba McElveen.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jack Askenof Brookhaven; his brother, Delton Campbell of East Fork; and hisgrandchildren, Kathy Asken of Clinton and Kristy Asken ofJackson.
