Services for Ruth C. Nash of Elyria, Ohio, are 10:30 a.m.,Thursday, May 9, at First Congregational United Church of Christwith burial in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Bauer-LaubenthalFuneral Home.

Mrs. Nash, 93, died May 5, 2002, at EMH Regional Medical Center.She was born in Concordia, Mo., on Nov. 30, 1908, and lived in theElyria area for most of her life until moving to Ft. Myers, Fla.,following her retirement in 1972. She and her husband moved back toElyria several months ago.

She was a retired teacher. She was a member of FirstCongregational Church of Christ and was a former member of thechoir. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Loralu County andState of Ohio Retired Teachers Associations and was a former memberof the Oberlin Country Club. She enjoyed playing piano andknitting.

Preceding her in death were her sister, Clara Peterson; and herbrother, Wesley Winker.

Survivors are her husband of 72 years, Volney Nash; herdaughter, Joyce Duncan of Brookhaven; her sons, Richard Nash ofRocky River, Ohio, and Charles “Chuck” Nash of Elyria; her sister,Helen Gerd of Omaha, Neb.; and seven grandchildren and 10great-grandchildren.
