Services for Christopher Thomas Barnett of Jackson are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, June 11, at Meadowbrook Church of Christ with burial inEvergreen Cemetery in Woodville at 3 p.m.

Visitation is Monday, June 10, from 5-8 p.m. at Wright andFerguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson.

Mr. Barnett, 43, died Saturday, June 8, 2002 on board theDiscoverer Deep Seas off the Louisiana coast. He was born inBrookhaven on June 7, 1959, to Dr. Jim C. Barnett and the late AnnFairly Wilson Barnett.

He was a chef and director of food services with Delta CateringCompany.

Preceding him in death were his mother and his brother, Dr.James C. Barnett.

Survivors are his wife, Claudia Netterville Barnett; hischildren, Christopher Carter, Ann Fairly and Tommie Jo NettervilleBarnett, all of Jackson; his father, Dr. Jim C. Barnett ofBrookhaven; his stepmother, Roberta Barnett of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Alex Barnett of Dumbries, Va., Richard Barnett of EasleyS.C., Patrick Barnett of Meridian, John Barnett of Mosley, Va.,Mark Barnett of Lexington, Ky., and Paul Barnett of Brookhaven; hisstep-sister, Ellen Gerland of Brenham, Texas; his step-brothers,James Matthews of Maheim, Penn., and Glen Matthews of Baytown,Texas; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Fred Netterville ofWoodville.
