Services for Marvia Davis Smith of Sontag are 2 p.m., Monday,Sept. 23, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial inMt. Zion Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 12-5 p.m. at Williams Mortuary inBrookhaven.

Mrs. Smith, 65, died Sept. 19, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Wesson on Jan. 30, 1937, to Lamar Davis Sr. and Ida LeeDavis.

She was retired from Kellwood after 28 years of service. She wasa member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she was thechurch secretary, an usher and a member of the choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, JesseCooper.

Survivors are her husband, James E. Smith Sr. of Sontag; herson, James E. Smith Jr. of Navarre, Fla.; her daughter, Ethel M.Smith of Shalimar, Fla.; her brothers, Lamar Davis Jr. of Sontag,and A.C. Cooper of McComb; her sisters, Lettie Butler ofBeauregard, Beatrice McWilliams of McComb, Mertis Brown ofFranklinton, La., and Ruby Boyd of Covington, La; and fivegrandchildren.
