Services for Sarah Dow Jackson of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon to 6 p.m., with family hour from6-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Jackson, 78, died Jan. 25, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Nov. 13, 1924, to Willie Dow and BessieDow.

She was disabled. She was a member of St. James MissionaryBaptist Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Alexander High School.She attended Grambling College on an athletic scholarship.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, CharleneJackson Allen; and her brothers, John Dow Sr., and Robert Dow.

Survivors are her husband, Charlie Jackson of Brookhaven; herson, Charlie Jackson Jr., of Brookhaven; her daughters, JohnetteDow Henderson of Brookhaven, and LaKendra Hampton of Kileen, Texas;her god-daughter, Dr. Marilyn Dow-Harris of Brookhaven; and 12grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews and other relatives and friends.
