Myrtis Paxton Grice

Services for Myrtis Paxton Grice of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Friday, April 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Grice, 75, died April 2, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 17, 1927, to PearlieMontgomery and Ruthie Smith Montgomery.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers.

Survivors are her daughters, Joyce Bowman of Brookhaven and JoAnn Bray of Attalla, Ala.; her brother, Alcus Montgomery ofBrookhaven; her grandchildren, Kevin Tillotson of Jayess, MicheleMcDonald of Ocean Springs, and Terri Linkey of Winston-Salem, N.C.;and one great-grandchild and five step great-grandchildren.

Melvin Donald Hudson

Services for Melvin Donald Hudson of Wesson were 11 a.m.,Friday, April 4, at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church with burialin the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Hudson, 71, died April 2, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wesson on June 17, 1931, to Melvin “Rock”Hudson and Exa Gill Hudson.

He was retired from the oil field. He was a member of PleasantRidge Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his wife, Mary AliceBarnes Hudson.

Survivors are his sons, Terry Hudson of Brookhaven, and MarcellHudson and Tony Hudson, both of Wesson; his daughters, Gail Smithof Brookhaven and Tammy Allen of Wesson; his mother, Exa GillHudson of Wesson; his sisters, Hazel Barlow of Hazlehurst, IreneDunigan of Natchez, and Eloise Patton of Danbury, Fla.; and 11grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
