James Carlos Allen

Services for James Carlos Allen of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, April 15, at Central Baptist Church with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Allen, 86, died April 13, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 27, 1916, to James A.Allen and Autie Missie Furlow Allen.

He was retired from Jacobsen Lawn Mower Company. He was a memberof Central Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Nancy WatsonAllen; his brothers, Bennie and Harvey Allen; and his sisters,Velma Furlow and Maude Chandler.

Survivors are his sons, James Lester Allen and wife Rita, andKeith Allen, all of Brookhaven; his brother, Elmer Allen ofBrookhaven; and three grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.

Services for Anne Brown Dial of Clinton are 11 a.m., Tuesday,April 15, at Morrison Heights Baptist Church with burial in ClintonCemetery.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home andat the church Tuesday from 10:30 until service time.

Mrs. Dial, 59, died April 13, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center.She was born in Greenwood. She was a graduate of Inverness HighSchool and Mississippi College.

She was personnel manager at Mississippi College. She was amember of Morrison Heights Baptist Church, where she was a formerSunday school teacher, a nursery worker, a committee member, andchildren’s choir teacher.

Survivors are her parents, Louis and Louise Campbell Brown ofInverness; her husband, John Dial of Clinton; her son, John Michael”Mike” Dial of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her daughter, Amanda Anne “Mandy”Dial Sartor of Brookhaven; and an expected grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Morrison Heights Baptist Church,Mississippi College Library Fund, or the Clinton Four C’s.
