Services for Ruby Lee Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Tuesday,March 16, at Progress Missionary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home in Prentiss is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 1-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 81, died March 10, 2004, at Forrest GeneralHospital. She was born in Jefferson Davis County on Sept. 15, 1922,to Sam Fairman and Arcola Fairman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Progress Missionary BaptistChurch in Bassfield.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her life companion, Edgar “Ed” Clark Sr. ofBrookhaven; her daughters Ruby Jean Thompson of Bassfield and AliceWilliams of New Orleans; her son, Louis E. Smith of Slidell, La.;her sisters, Annie M. Fairman and Vanola Nelson, both of Bassfield;her brother, Perry Fairman of Bassfield; seven grandchildren; andsix great-grandchildren.
