Services for Cheryl Powell of Wesson are 3 p.m., Saturday, July31, at New Vision Fellowship Center with burial in HillcrestCemetery.
Visitation and family hour are Friday from 7-8 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Powell, 49, died July 28, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Memphis, Tenn., on February 10, 1955, toHezekiah Lanos and Joan Crawford, both of Memphis.
She was a 1973 graduate of Melrose High School in Memphis and a1998 graduate of Alcorn State University, where she received a B.S.degree in social work and mental health. She was formerly employedby Brookhaven Life Skills and Region Eight Mental Health. She was ahomemaker. She was a member of New Vision Fellowship Center.
Preceding her in death was her granddaughter, CheriyaPowell.
Survivors are her husband, Charles Powell of Wesson; herparents; her stepfather, Earl Crawford of Memphis; her daughters,Cherica L. Doss and her husband, Wellington, of Atlanta, Ga., andCharlisa L. Powell of Atlanta; her son, Charles Powell III ofWesson; her sister, Carolyn Webber of Memphis; and manysisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and otherrelatives.
