Services for Mildred S. Smith of Marrero, La., formerly ofBrookhaven, were noon Saturday, Aug. 14 at Mothe Furneral Home inMarrero. Local services were 4 p.m. Saturday at New Salem Church ofChrist Cemetery with burial in the cemetery. Community FuneralServices was in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Smith, 74, died Aug. 10, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Boon County, Ark. She was a homemaker. She also had livedin Saenger, Calif.

Survivors are her daughter, Kylinda Smith of Irving, Texas; herson, Garey W. Smith of Harvey La.; two granddaughters and threegreat-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
