Rickey Floyd Johnson
Services for Rickey Floyd Johnson of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday, Nov. 27 at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until12:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home and from 1-2 p.m. at thechurch.
Mr. Johnson, 48, died Nov. 24, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Mobile, Ala., on Dec. 24, 1955, to Floyd C.Johnson and Mamie Clinton Johnson of Brookhaven.
He was a retired salesman for Hodges Men’s Shop. He was a memberof Gum Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors are his parents; his daughters, Misty Morrison, andher husband, Scott, of Hazlehurst, and Stacy Brister and herhusband, Dickey, of Brookhaven; his son, Clay Johnson ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Regina East and her husband, Andy, andTina Johnson, all of Brookhaven; his nephews, Matt East ofLaMadalana, Italy, Blake East and his wife, Emily, of Brookhaven,and Brandon Johnson of Brookhaven; his great-niece, Macey East ofBrookhaven; and his grandchildren Jesse Brister and ColtonBrister.
Allie V. Smith
Graveside services for Allie V. Smith of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 27 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith, 98, died Nov. 23, 2004, at Brookmanor Nursing Home.She was born in Lincoln County on May 17, 1906, to Eli Case andCora Bell Newton Case.
She was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, IvanSmith.
Survivors are her daughter, Audrey B. Slade of Universal City,Texas; her sister, Winnie Bell Smith of Brookhaven; her brotherIvan Case of Brookhaven; and numerous grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren.
Jane Sparks
Services for Jane Sparks of Forest are 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27at Forest Presbyterian Church with burial in Eastern Cemetery. TheRev. Jamie Germany and Rev. Robert Hays will officiate.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home inForest.
Mrs. Sparks, 78, died Nov. 23, 2004, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott County. She was a member ofForest Presbyterian Church for 65 years, where she was also amember and past president of Women In The Church. Mrs. Sparks was amember of the Hillsboro Homemakers Club, Scott County ForestryAssociation, Home Health Board and a past member of the GardenClub.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ellis Sparks in 1994;and her daughter Oleta Joy Sparks in 1956.
Survivors are her daughter, Cindy Lindsey of Forest; her son,Allen Sparks and his wife, Virginia, of Brookhaven; her sister,Idella Ross of Columbus; six grandchildren; and threegreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bert, Leon and Michael Sparks, O.B.Triplett, Josh, Ben and Brian Lindsey, and Joe Bergin. Honorarypallbearers will be Marion McCrory, Ham Stevens, Leon Jones, PatBarnes and Royce Windham.
