Services for Ester Mae Fairman Wilcher, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Cornerstone Church of God in Christ withburial in Siloam Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith a wake from 6-7 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Wilcher, 85, died May 7, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Feb. 7, 1920, to Minor Fairman and MaryHenderson Fairman.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mary Temple’s Church ofGod In Christ where she was a member of the church choir, a Bibleband teacher, a YWCC teacher and a church mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, DavidWilcher Sr.; her sons, Charles E. Wilcher and James E. Wilcher; herdaughters, Irene Rancifer, baby Beulah Wilcher and baby MaryWilcher; and three grandchildren.

Survivors are her five sons, Willie Wilcher Sr., and his wife,Ethel, of Brookhaven, David Wilcher Jr. and his wife, Sarah, ofBrookhaven, Elder Anthony Wilcher Sr. and his wife, Gladys, ofMcCall Creek, Larry Wilcher and his wife, Marcia, of Brookhaven,and Minor Wilcher, of Champaign, Ill.; her seven daughters, MaryBryant and her husband, Felix, of Brandon, Estell Smith and herhusband, Charlie, of Oakland, Calif., Dorothy Culver and herhusband, Israel, of Wesson, Beatrice Nichols and her husband,Bernard, of Brookhaven, Josephine Price, Dinah Lewis and ElaineWilcher, all of Brookhaven; a brother, Marzell Fairman, ofKaysville, Utah; two sisters, Gayzell Wilcher, of Brookhaven; andMarie Byrd, of Champaign; 40 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren;and two great-great-grandchildren.
